Privacy Policy

The KnowNothing.Net Privacy Policy is here to explain to you what kind of information is collected and what is done with it.

On this site you will encounter a small amount of information gathering. At the most will be asking for name and email address on the contact form. This is merely a way for me to contact you back.

Most sites say they don't sell your information. I am one of those. I really don't care where you were at before my site or other trivial information. It does me no good to know all this. All I need to know is how you like the site and suggestions on improvements.

You may ask, "What is done with my email address and information I submitted?" Well, if you are wanting a reply, I answer your question, then delete your e-mail and bye bye. No more info to sell. I prefer not to clutter my Inbox with old e-mails. Therefore, you can rest easy, your information won't be on my PC for no more than a week (doubt over 3 days).

The second place information may be recorded is on the forums/boards. When you post on the boards, your IP address as well as the date/time of the post is logged.  This information stays recorded indefinitely. The purpose of logging this information is to help track and eliminate abuse.

The third place that your information is recorded, that I can think of, is via the server stats. Just about every hosting account I have used has some sort of server statistics which logs your IP address, the date/time, and what page you accessed.  In addition, any 404 [page not found] or other error pages are logged with the same information as previously mentioned.

The only person who has access to the server stats as well as the information logged on the boards is me.  No one else.

Your information is not sold, leased, and/or given to anyone or any company. If you have any questions about this policy, feel free to contact me.
